The initial Airwick plug in smelled wonderful though out the whole house. I refilled it with water and varying degrees of essential oil and got very picayune scent. Tried 1/3 essential oil with the rest grapeseed oil got no smell. I poured information technology into my electric warmer in the pocket-sized bath and it smells wonderful. Nevertheless trying to observe a ratio and ingredients for the plug in that will exist as strong as the oil that the plug in came with. Has anyone tried using kokosnoot oil? Anyone have success with a potent scent with a plug in?

No, perfume would not exist safe to use in an oil warmer. Perfume is generally alcohol based rather than oil, so it could be dangerously flammable, would probably evaporate too quickly, and may damage the wick or warmer unit.

Rachel, unfortunately it is not safety apply a wick that has expanded in that way. The wick most probable expanded like that due to a deviation in density between the original liquid and the liquid that yous refilled it with. The biggest problem with an expanded wick is that the top portion could expand also, causing the wick to bear on the warmer and leak down the wall or into the outlet. If the wick expanded like that, it will probable become "chock-full" with the old oil and non evangelize much fragrance.

I am not sure whether you are asking about replacing the fragrance or the wick. Since the commodity discusses the fragrance, I assume you want to replace the wick. There is no safe and easy way to replace the wick in a commercial electric oil warmer, you should buy a new Glade refill if the old wick is damaged.

fritteritter ~ We have been refilling our liquid fresheners with men's after shave for well over a year and recently put together a video which has been added to our blog. You mention several times about discarding bottles that have defective wicks only it's so cheap and easy to simply supersede them with i/4" round wicks or rolling apartment wicks and inserting them into the smaller size kid's straws leaving a short amount extended at each end. A plug-in air freshener is simply a warming device and the amount of booze in any type of cologne or afterwards shave is minimal so there is no danger using it (otherwise smokers might gear up their faces on fire and freebase like Richard Pryor did years ago).

I am able to refill the bottles more than v times. Clogged, you say? Non with mine. Here's the fundamental: I pull the wicks out, and put them, along with the plastic top (not the glass bottoms) in a zippered delicates bag, then run through several loads of laundry- ONLY IN THE WASHER. When it'due south all done, the apparel and laundry smell keen. When I popular the wicks out of the delicates bag, they are thoroughly unclogged, make clean, and set up to use oft over again! (This works but on solid foam wicks. Case-wrapped fiber wicks do not survive laundering, only they'll brand the laundry smell good the same. Just make certain yous're not washing anything dark that'll show errant strings.)

I'm also going to try rechargeable batteries in my Wisps - a four-pack of Energizers with the charger toll me $12.00, only they are rechargeable over 100 times which I think in the long run will relieve me over regular alkalines.

I agree, I really wish they would make something new with the vibration dispersion system, information technology's very unique compared to all the fans, burners, and droplets systems out in that location.

I had a portion of the disc crevice off on one of mine when it was dropped. I hoped to meet a similar engineering science but they are naught more than than a fancy twist on the token pino tree freshener... thin fragrance shades last only 2 weeks and are expensive to replace - just a gimmick.

PM, I recollect they are either $i.99 or $2.99, probably varies past region. The Sense & Spray Hawaiian Breeze sounds like the regular aerosol which is what I have, I oasis't bought Wisp refills in a long time =)

Also try Tropical Citrus Tango if your Walmart has it - I think that might be close as well. Ordinarily there is at least one canteen of each fragrance with the foil punctured so that you can smell it first, they're virtually arts & crafts past the incense and flower pots/vases.

The strange thing with Glade's Hawaiian Cakewalk fragrance is that the oil version, in my opinion, has a stronger mango/pineapple smell, while the Sense & Spray version has a stronger coconut aroma. PM, ane of my photos higher up shows Hawaiian Mist which I found to be the most like among the fragrance oils available at Walmart. They may have new fragrances at present, but besides a strange hint of berry or something in the Hawaiian Mist, it is about as close equally I've gotten to Hawaiian Breeze.

I haven't noticed anything that smells quite as strongly of coconut as the Glade Hawaiian Breeze fragrance, if you like that then peradventure you lot can find some coconut fragrance and practise some mixing? Adept luck!

Thank you for the comments. I agree, I have been using these Elegant Expressions oils recently to freshen up the bathroom. They really work better in our Wisp flameless candle than the original scents. As well I don't feel bad near cranking the air freshener to maximum strength! I take used the Fragrance Oils y'all advise and prove in the picture - Elegant Expressions Fragrance Oil - information technology is one the best quality fragrance oils in the market place and is very strong. My mom's friends introduced these to me at a bunko party. These are stronger in fragrance strength than either Yankee Candle oils or the Oils sold at Bath and Body works, and are much much cheaper. I bought mine at Wal-Mart and besides noticed recently that some new fragrance options are available at Michaels in a larger size bottle.

One correction to your article to a higher place ... these may be cheap in cost, Simply I BEG TO DIFFER ON YOUR STATEMENT THAT THESE ARE "LOW END" ... They are anything just low end.
